Harvest of 2015
The harvest of 2015 will be long remembered. The excellent weather conditions during ripening and the favourable temperature range has allowed the grapes to reach an excellent phenolic maturity. This was also thanks the numerous visits by experts which determined the best time to start the harvest. The vines did not endure water strain thanks to the late summer showers. Laboratory analysis has confirmed first impressions on the field: sugar rates where high, Ph and acidity were correct, anthocyanis and Ph1 were above 2000 mg/kg on Merlot and Cabernet and above 1700 mg/kg on the Sangiovese. The analysis also showed that fermentation indicators were good, thanks to the greatly reduced plant health treatments.
